I've just purchased a vehicle from David James Cars and was extremely happy with the service I received and the quality of the vehicle. Initially, when I was searching the internet for vehicles, I saw the previous one star review on David James website and was obviously put off by this rating. However, reading the reason why the disgruntled customer had awarded this poor rating, I was amazed! Common sense tells you that a garage is not going to put a new MOT on their secondhand cars until they are at the point of sale!!! Awarding a 1 star rating and writing such a review must surely have unjustly damaged the reputation of this garage and likely caused considerable financial loss to the business. I'm sure I'm not the only potential customer who was put off by the one star rating but I am VERY pleased that I decided to visit the garage. David James was extremely fair, helpful, friendly and the vehicle was presented in first class condition. If I was David James, I would certainly be considering legal action to recover potential loss of business due to what was written in the previous review. Surely this would be viewed as libellous? Why does Google allow this to happen I wonder? Anyhow, I was very pleased with my experience at this garage and would have no hesitation in recommending David James Cars to anyone else. Thank you David!

Rude, obnoxious, quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever had. Honestly thought I was on a comedy show... Called about a car with plans to drive 60 miles, cash in hand. Not joking. When I asked about the just- expired MOT, and if they planned to do it, James replied that he'd been in business over 30 years and that's not how he does it. He doesn't want to do the MOT and have it sit on the lot. You expect the customer to blindly trust you? What if the car is junk and I've just purchased it? He said they would fix it. Hand over £5000 cash and hope for the best. Hmm, are you going to offer to sell me a bridge too? He then called me a difficult customer.
